I believe in the power of storytelling through fabric. Each piece I create is a reflection of my passion for color, texture, and the art of bringing materials together in unexpected ways. As an artist, I am drawn to the process of transforming raw, often discarded, materials—such as fabric scraps—into something vibrant and full of life. I see beauty in the imperfections and individuality of each piece, which is why I embrace an improvisational approach to design.

My work combines elements of modern quilting and traditional craftsmanship, where I blend structured techniques with free-form creativity. Whether I'm building complex quilt patterns, experimenting with layered textures, or designing one-of-a-kind textile artworks and quilts, I strive to create pieces that evoke a sense of warmth, personality, and joy.

Each design I produce is a journey of discovery. I love to play with color combinations and patterns, allowing the fabric to guide me in new directions. The tactile nature of working with fabric and the endless possibilities it offers inspire me every day to push the boundaries of what a quilt or textile piece can be. To me, the process of quilting is not just about the end product; it’s about creating something with heart, purpose, and meaning.

I'm currently Creative Director for Missouri Star Quilt Company and direct their Block and Modblock magazines. I have designed quilt patterns for the National Modern Quilt Guild for their Quilt of the Month program. I am also featured in the book Modern Quilts: Designs of the New Century for my Funky Medina quilt design which was also a part of their traveling exhibit that toured around the country. I also co-founded and am creative director of Curated Quits journal—a subscription based modern gallery of quilt inspiration, articles and patterns.
